Levitra prescription

Vardenafil, known as Levitra, is the second prescription drug to treat erectile dysfunction following Viagra. It was developed and is being marketed by Bayer Pharmaceuticals since 2003. In Japan, Levitra has been manufactured and sold by Bayer Japan since 2004.
Levitra’s pharmacologic action is provided by inhibiting phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), an enzyme mainly distributed in the penile vascular smooth muscle that decreases the penile blood flow.
Levitra 20mg tablet is the strongest ED treatment available in Japan, roughly being equivalent to Viagra 100mg tablet which is not approved in Japan.
The safety and efficacy of Levitra has been approved in more than 100 countries.
