Dutasteride is a synthetic antiandrogen that acts by inhibiting type I and Ⅱ 5-alpha reductase, the enzyme that converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT).
Dutasteride is more effective than Finasteride becaause Finasteride in hibits only type Ⅱ 5-alpha reductase.

Features of Dutasteride
Take Dutasteride one tablet every day.
Dutasteride will start to effect within 6 months.
Take no more than one tablet per day.

Patients who are allergic to the components of Dutasreride.
Female and children.
Women who are or may potentially be pregnant must not use Dutasteride and should not handle crushed or broken Dutasteride tablets because the active ingredient may cause abnormalities of a male baby’s sex organs. If a woman who is pregnant comes into contact with the active ingredient in Dutasteride, a doctor should be consulted.
Dutasteride tablets are coated and will prevent contact with the active ingredient during normal handling, provided that the tablets are not broken or crushed.
In clinical for Dutasteride, a small number of men experienced certain sexual side effects, such as less desire for sex, difficulty in achieving an erection, or a decrease in the amount of semen. Each of these side effects occurred in less than 5% of men. Liver function disturbance may also occur at a low frequency (percentage too rare to estimate).
Blood donation must be restraint during and at least one month after discontinuation of Dutasteride.
